We left the house yesterday!!!

Okay, it was just to the backyard. We ended up starting our morning out early as usual (just before 5:00AM) and was very interesting to say the least. I had to change the NG tape again because he must of slept like an octopus. He didn't like it and so I ended up bribing him with cars and play guns. So I called my mother and off to Wal Mart she went. She ended up getting us some chocolate and Dr Pepper as well so I thought I would have a handle on my day.

They came and when I opened the door, WOW, was it great outside. It ended up warming up to 65 and nice and sunny. So I thought what could it hurt to get out and get some fresh air. As you can tell from the pictures below, he was in heaven! We only stayed outside for about a half hour because I didn't want to push it.

We came back inside and played cops and robbers, cars, read books, did some signing, played with his train, played with his etch and sketch, and colored. So now you see why it is so hard for me to do anything that I want???

So after all of that, we decided to watch Scooby Doo and I actually read the first 5 pages of my book!!!

My good friend Rachel came over around 5 or so and we ended up having a great time. We hung out and watched Carson play. Rachel managed to talk Carson into 3 pop sickles (he only ate portions of each and not all of it), 3 bites of jello, and almost a whole package of 120 calorie pack of gold fish. Then I cooked us dinner and Carson ate a few bites of bread and butter and about 4 bites of my goulash and then he started choking and up came at least 2 of those bites and dinnertime was over for him. After dinner, Rachel got the pleasure of learning about Carson's NG feeding. I showed her everything from start to finish and then it was off to feed him for 30 minutes. Rachel decided at 9:30 that it was getting past her bedtime (on a Saturday night LOL)and headed out.

Carson and I watched TV and played with his cars some more and he was out around 10:30. I was very excited about this. Then at 11:30 he woke up screaming and holding his chest and telling me he hurt. I couldn't get him to calm down and as I was holding him he was burning up. I ended up giving him a breathing treatment to try and at least open up his airway. I gave him some Tylenol and called my mother because after 30 minutes of Carson crying and holding his chest, I thought we were going to be packing up and heading out. This is my problem, is he having an asthma attack, is this possible the onset to pneumonia? Is this related to the tightness in the chest signs of LVH? Then on top of that, his incision on his chin is now turning black and he is complaining that it is hurting as well. I put a call in to the plastic surgeon last Friday but the scheduler was out of the office. So I'm hoping we will be worked in tomorrow. It started ot looking like a boil and now it is all black and dark blue. Is this a blood clot? Staph? This poor kid has so much going on and I just cannot keep up!

Oh and this morning when I stripped him down to weigh him (staying at 11.5 ) he went over to his potty and actually pee'd a lot. YEAH.

On another good note, Coltan and Cody made it to Lincoln NE safely and they told me that it is really cold. The first game was this morning and Coltan played against NE and they lost 0-4. Then Coltan and Cody played the next game and both played defenders (closest to the goalie) and they won 9-0!!! Great job boys. That's what happens when you put the Hoffman boys together. Nothing went past them and they kept the opponents from scoring once!!! The Missouri team brought up two teams and Coltan and Cody were actually split up. One of the boys on Cody's team sprained his ankle and since the coach knew they were already going to be at all the games, they asked Grandma Hoffman if it would be okay for Coltan to play for both. This is really great because Coltan has only made the pool, so this gives the coaches more time to look at him so he could be one of the full roster boys and not an alternate. They play at 3 and 4 and then they are heading home. The boys go back to school tomorrow and I'm sure they will be more than tired.

Well my mother just showed up and we are off to taking down ALL of my Christmas decorations. Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

This is us walking down the stairs for the first time in NINE weeks. Can you believe that other than doctors appointments, Carson has not been out of our home??

He decided he wanted to play a little catch.

Then it was soccer and he scored so many goals. What a stallion!

Then it was off to the slide

He was ordering a hot dog, chips, fries, and a drink.

Posing on the stairs.

Sliding down the stairs.

Now we are sliding down the right way.

A little 4 wheeling to end our adventure

I am so glad that you were able to spend sometime with Carson outside. It was a bone chilling high of 13 at my house today so all we did all day was stay in the house and keep warm!!!!

I am glad you two were able to spend some time outside!!! I am sure he was more then excited.

I hope that things get figured out really soon. Poor Carson, it is probably really scary to wake up to something that is hurting him so bad...scary for you too.

You guys of course continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Looks like he's having a blast! And well deserved that's for sure. Wasn't it beautiful yesterday? We did a picnic outside just soaking up the crazy warm weather. LOVE IT!!! Bless your hearts, 9 weeks. Nobody should have to stay inside for that long!!!

Praying for more answers this week ... whatever it takes to get them!

65? Must have been heaven! Looks like he had a great time outside and is doing good with the potty! Yay for not losing any more weight. :)

Awww...he looks so thrilled to be out having fun. 9 weeks IS a long time to be cooped up inside.

WTG on the potty thing too!

Carson looks so tall too, and I just did a weight conversion, and Pierce is only 1 lb heavier than Carson. Two peas in a pod those two.
