My busy weekend.......

Well Friday ended up turning into a pretty long night. Cody went to his dad's for the weekend and then Coltan went to a school mixer. After his mixer, he came by and grabbed some clothes so he could spend the night with a school mate.

When we got home, Charlie decided to come down and see Carson as well. Carson ended up staying up til after midnight and then he finally settled down and fell asleep on daddy. Charlie ended up spending the night so I decided that Saturday I would love to go into work and see how far behind I am on my paperwork. (YIKES). So I will be looking for a solution very quickly so I can close out 2008. Hopefully I can swing it.

After work I had to run home and grab Coltan and take him to birthday party. Cody of course was at his dad's for the weekend.

So Saturday night Charlie must have thought I needed a special treat. He ended up grilling us KC Strips. We had a great dinner with just the three of us. Carson just loves spending time with mommy and daddy. Then for dessert, I got to try out my new Victoria Secret lotion and I got a wonderful massage. Charlie stayed at my house until 4:30AM and had to run home because he was selling something and was meeting the guy early Sunday morning. But he was back down here by 9:00 Sunday morning and so I got ready and went to church!!

I ran over to Chris' house and grabbed Cody and Coach Brad picked up Coltan and I had a wonderful time in church with two of my three boys. It really did hit home as well. They were talking about the economy and tied in St Peters and how everyone has their own set of problems or junk in our closet. It was certainly nice to see everyone and it was kind of sad when the service was over. Since I didn't get to take Carson with me, everyone of course was asking about him. I think I only got teary eyed a hundred times talking about it. I guess I'm just a huge emotional roller coaster.

So anyways, after church, the boys and Charlie and I got ALL of the laundry caught up, and I had Coltan and Cody get busy in their rooms. Charlie and I went to the store to return a TV that I had bought a while back. I have decided that I would rather the money go towards bills and medical expenses for right now. Then we came back home and and grilled out some BBQ pork chops and all sat down for a wonderful family dinner. It was such a peaceful day.

Carson hasn't really been giving me much where food and liquids are concerned but overall, he has been really happy with having both parents in the home. Twice the attention, twice the love and hugs and kisses...... Of course mommy isn't so cranky either since I'm getting some adult conversation, companion, love, and help with this busy two year old!

So overall, I would have to say that the boy's and I had a pretty good weekend which is something that I would like to see continue. I also want to report that I put on 120 miles on my car this weekend which is the first time that it was something other than doctor appointments. So that was nice that I got to ride in peace in my car for that many miles.

Oh and I should find out today on his lab work. The blood culture confirmed staph so they are running it for 24 more hours to see if there is any antibiotics that will work for this particular strain. I will update when I do know something.

Sounds like you had a wonderful yet busy weekend. Those are nice to have sometimes. Sorry to hear that it turned out to be staph but at the same time I suppose it is good that you at least know what it is so you can get it healed.

P.S. Yes you may add me to your blogroll. It is fun getting to know other moms out there. I love to get e-mail from my blog it kinda makes you feel like a kid waiting for the mailman to bring you a letter. I know that sounds kinda silly...lol. :) Good luck with your year end stuff. I'm fellin ya there. I work in a tax office so we are knee deep in the stuff right now.
