South Dakota Day 4 , Mt Rushmore

Well we finally got up and out of the hotel by 10:00 AM. (hey, I'm on vacation right)? So first stop? Mt Rushmore. It was a gorgeous day with bright blue skies and very mild temperatures..

Carson woke up and had a lot of blood in his port of his NG tube so a quick call to the doctor and they said not to worry. He was at a higher altitude and probably not used to it so since we were only going to be there for a few days, to go ahead and leave it out. So that is what I did. Luckily, I had some Prevacid left over in my diaper bag and figured that was better than nothing at all.

Here are some of my favorite pics from Mt Rushmore. Keep in mind that I took over 150 so narrowing down to 11.....I think I did a really good job!

It's always fun trying to ask perfect strangers to take pictures of your family. This is the only one of about 3 we had taken and all of them for some reason were right in the direct sunlight. So this is the best one.
Man I love my camera. This is taken from just on the other side of that archway you see in the picture above.
Another view with my lens out.

Aren't my three guys cute!

Carson went off the path and decided to do a little rock climbing on his own.
He had to take a break. Wore himself out. I didn't bring my stroller on the trip and was really surprised at just how much energy this boy has!
Coltan and Cody waiting on Carson and I. They were scheming the whole time.
The three of them rock climbed up this area and I of course, walked the path and eventually caught up with them.

Did you get a new camera?? I LOVE cameras. I hoping to get an Canon SLR sometime this next year. Right now I use a Sony Cyber-shot. I like that it is small and easy to take places. For the fireworks pictures I just used the night setting.

I can't believe you saw Mt Rushmore! That is too fun and I bet an incredible experience with your boys.

I have to tell you, this post reminds me of when I was little and went to Mt. Rushmore. I had an ice cream cone and went to lick it and the whole thing fell off the cone. I guess i was pretty traumatized since thats what i remember :)

Alright! What kind of camera do you have? These are some really great pictures.

I loved when we finally quit on the stroller. The difference in the kids' behavior was dramatic both times - because they were suddenly VERY tired! LOL
