We decided to hit the Badlands on our way home. It was 45 minutes east of Rapid City (which is the direction we would travel to head home). The trip from Rapid City to Kansas City is about 10 hours. So when we got to the Badlands, I never thought we would stay til 7PM. It made it for a very long and exhausting drive home but I'm sure glad we got to stop and see this surreal place.
This was a picture I took from the highway.

This was right inside of The Badlands.

The pictures of the badlands are so surreal! What gorgeous scenery..
This is so unfamiliar to me here in southern California. I love the photos and they made me feel like I was following you on your trip. I could almost hear Carson's voice.
Oh my gosh, I would have loved to see all those cute animals! Prairie Dogs are soooo cute and especially like the one where the mom is scolding her daughter. Ha!
Oh yea, I forgot to tell you that you can get those shower caddy things at bed bath & beyond, target, and I think Pat got her's at Kohls or Steinmart. (Those are Pat's two favorite places to shop!). And yes, she practically had to leave with a U-Haul. It was hilarious to see her with her huge bags trying to carry everything.
Great pictures! That is some beautiful scenery.
